Benjamin joined Chadick Ellig in January 2012 as Managing Director. Benjamin leads the firm's Legal, Compliance & Regulatory practice and is a part of the firm's Corporate Center sector. He will direct executive searches for senior-level legal, compliance, regulatory and government affairs roles, as well as other operational and administrative functions for public and private companies, private equity and venture capital backed companies, not-for-profit organizations and financial services firms. Leading the firm's Legal industry practice, Benjamin will conduct partner and senior administrative searches for law firms, including operational, financial, human resources, technology/information and marketing roles. Benjamin will also be supporting David Mathison in the development of the firm's Digital Media industry practice, which focuses on senior-level assignments for traditional, online and mobile media and technology companies.

Benjamin brings over 10 years of international and domestic executive search and assessment experience, conducted across a wide range of industry groups including technology, media, financial services, consumer, retail, industrial, energy, healthcare and not-for-profit. Prior to joining Chadick Ellig, Benjamin was with Russell Reynolds Associates as a leader in the firm's Legal, Governance & Compliance practice, directing senior-level searches and assessments from 2006 through 2011. In 2002, he began his search career with The Artemis Group as Managing Director, where he recruited attorneys to law firms, major corporations and financial services firms.

Before his career in executive search and assessment, Benjamin practiced law as a corporate associate in New York for six years. He began his legal career with Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett, one of the most prestigious law firms in the world, and continued his practice at Davis & Gilbert, a top-tier boutique firm specializing in digital media, entertainment and advertising clients.

Benjamin received his B.A. in Philosophy from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall). He is also a member of the Executive Committee of Music Unites, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to funding and sustaining music education programs in under-served school districts throughout the country.
